"SIDEWAYS in SAN LUIS"

Was a Tremendous success!!!
Our 6th Annual Spring Dinner was held at the beautiful Edna Valley Vineyard on Saturday, May 12, 2007 from 6-10:00 p.m. The sit-down gourmet dinner was catered by the incredible Chef Evan Treadwell of the Lido Restaurant at the Dolphin Bay Hotel. The event theme guided the dinner with wonderful Pinot Noir wines from Edna Valley Vineyard, Talley Vineyards, Wedell Cellars and Domaine Alfred paired specially with the menu. Our guest speaker, Archie McLaren, former Chairman of the San Luis Obispo Vintners & Growers Association and Founder & Chairman of the Central Coast Wine Classic gave an educational and enlightening presentation on the fickle yet profoundly edifying Pinot Noir grape.
The evening began with appetizers and Edna Valley Vineyard wines while the guests browsed the silent wine auction in the cask room. Jim Gardiner was our acutioneer, assisted by his lovely wife Elaine for our live auction that had unique and exciting items that related to our Sideways theme. (See some sample auction items below.)

This was our most successful fundraiser and we expect it to sell out quickly next year!
