“CELEBRATING BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS”
on Saturday, October 11, 2008 from 6-10:00 p.m.
at the View in the Morro Bay State Park Golf Course Clubhouse
This wonderful annual event will be a “Party with a Purpose”, meaning there will be no set entry fee, and instead, we will just request attendees donate whatever they can afford. Breast cancer survivors will be given a special gift and the atmosphere will be fun and lively. There will be a dance band, gourmet food, fantastic local wines, and great raffle items. held on October 28, 2007 was a huge success!!!!!
This wonderful community event, the largest in San Luis County in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, included gourmet cuisine from 6 restaurants and caterers, wine from 4 wineries and desserts from 4 bakeries (see lists below.) Live music and entertainment by a belly-dancer troupe added to the atmosphere. Attendees visited booths from 9 local businesses and organizations that offer services to breast cancer survivors while sampling the different gourmet delights. Anyone wearing pink and all breast cancer survivors got free truffles at the door from the Truffle Garden! There was no set entry fee and donations for whatever people could afford were accepted at the door.
